Made from a unique material developed in Finland that represents the next generation of sustainable materials, it paves the way for the transition towards a circular economy. Unlike conventional plastic cups that can harm marine life and pollute our oceans for centuries, The Ocean Cup offers a sustainable solution that significantly reduces environmental impact.
100% bio-based
Made from an innovative, 100% bio-based content material, which minimises the impact on the ecosystems.
Recycling
Can be organically recycled in industrial composting facilities, or collected for reuse via the Eco-Loop concept.
Reusable
Specifically designed for multiple uses. The Ocean Cup is dishwasher safe and can withstand up to 200 cycles.
Ocean-Friendly
Does not accumulate in nature. Biodegrades without leaving behind permanent microplastics or other toxic residues.
Durable & Versatile
Beautiful premium ceramic look. Impact & scratch resistant. Suitable for all kinds of hot and cold beverages.

- Made of responsibly sourced, biodegradable biopolymers and naturally occurring clay minerals.

Does not accumulate in nature but circulates back to natural
components (CO2, water & biomass). Biodegrades in a timeframe similar to that of tree leaves (77,3% relative biodegradation in 420 days - test ASTM D6691 in simulated marine environment using natural sea water). -
Low carbon footprint (0,57 kg CO2/kg based on cradle-to-
gate LCA).

Through the Eco-Loop concept, we aim to collect The Ocean Cup at the end of its life-cycle and send it to a specialised facility for recycling, promoting a closed-loop system that supports sustainability. During this process, used cups are broken down and transformed into new raw materials, which are then used to create new cups. With this approach, we reduce waste and the use of natural resources, promote material reuse, and continually recycle carbon. We are committed to expanding this concept globally.
